Once upon a time, a group of self-help books were having a meeting. The leader, a book titled "How to Be Confident in Yourself," was leading a discussion.


Suddenly, a loud knock on the door interrupted the meeting. The books all turned to see a rather large and intimidating-looking personal growth book standing in the doorway.

“Who are you and what do you want?” asked the leader. “I’m ‘How to Be Fearless in Any Situation’ and I have some news,” the new book replied. “I’ve just been banned from the self-help section because I was deemed too dangerous. I’m looking for a new home.”

When personal growth feels intimidating (and fake)

The other self-help books gasped in shock and started whispering amongst themselves. “We can’t have a book like that in here,” one book whispered to another. “What if it gives people bad advice? That would be a wrong personal development example?”

“But we can’t just leave it out in the cold,” another book argued. “We have to help it find a new home.” After much discussion, the self-help books decided to give “How to Be Fearless in Any Situation” a chance. They invited it to join their meetings and offered it advice on how to be more helpful and less dangerous.

    Over time, “How to Be Fearless in Any Situation” learned from the other self-help books and became a valuable member of the group. It even started writing its own advice column for the self-help section, offering tips on how to face your fears and live a bolder life.

    The moral of the story? Even the most intimidating self-help books can learn and grow with the right guidance and support.
